Shipping Policies
I ship via USPS according to the method chosen at time of purchase. I include tracking and insurance on all my orders. I cannot be held responsible for shipping delays once the package leaves my hands.
UK ORDERS:
I am currently not shipping ANY orders for tangible goods to the United Kingdom due to the new Brexit-related VAT requirements.
The requirement, implemented on January 1, 2021, for non-UK sellers to track totals, collect, then remit VAT to the UK government is an onerous process that, as a small indie business, I cannot currently comply with. I hope that I will be able to sell to the UK in the future, but I don’t know when that will happen.
GERMANY ORDERS:
I am currently not shipping ANY orders for tangible goods to Germany due to the German Packaging Act requirements.
Shipping to Germany is restricted due to the German packaging act registration and fee requirements. At this time I do not have plans to pursue these additional expenses due low sales numbers to this country. It’s simply to much of a burden as a small indie business such as mine.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:
Please be aware that shipping charges do not include customs duties and taxes. You, the Customer, are responsible for all duties (customs) and taxes that may be imposed by your country.
Check with your country's postal service to determine if any additional charges will be levied on your purchase once it reaches your country. Please keep in mind that these can be *significant* and may increase the cost of your package. The recipient of the package is responsible for all customs charges and will not receive a refund or credit from me in the event that an additional charge is levied or if a package is refused for Customs/VAT.
I cannot mark your package as a "gift" or falsify the value of the items I ship on customs forms. Customs forms will be listed with the full value only.
SHIPPING TIMES:
Typically items in the US arrive in 2-4 days (Priority Mail) or 4-6 days (First Class Mail). International items can be trickier to predict but packages take between one and six weeks. If you have a specific deadline please contact me before ordering so I can give you more detailed options.
International packages are trickier to predict, especially with Customs delays and depending on the destination country, but packages usually take 2-8 weeks. Please be patient with shipping times and order very early if you have a deadline for an order!**
LOST OR DAMAGED ITEMS:
All of my items are shipped with tracking and insurance. If your item is marked as "delivered" then I will consider it as such. I am not responsible for stolen or misdelivered packages, so please ensure your address is correct and you have a safe place for packages to be left. If your item has been marked as delivered but you don't have it, please contact your local post office. If you would like me to set up a delivery signature requirement please let me know ahead of time so I create a custom order for you.
Sometimes items seem to vanish in the mail with no tracking or tracking that just ends in the middle of transit. If that happens I will consider your package lost after 6 weeks (US delivery) or 10 weeks (International delivery). If your item is lost or damaged by the postal service, I will file an insurance claim on your behalf. Once the claim has been settled (generally this takes 25-30 days for domestic packages), I will issue you a refund for your order or I will replace the item for you (if I have the supplies to make another).
