18th century style curls or “buckles” (boucles in French) were structured rolls of hair that were pinned into the hair in many different arrangements, as seen in the hairdressing manuals and portraiture of the period.

These curls come in a set of EIGHT individual curls. Each curl is handcrafted and is made from synthetic hair in the color of your choice, re-enforced with netting, glues and hair spray. They are designed to be secured with regular bobby pins (not included).

These curls can be used with your own hair or for wig styling and can be pinned as is onto a finished style or used as forms to easily create regular or hanging buckle curls in longer hair. Buckle curls are approximately 3” long and 1.5” wide. Dimensions may vary.
