Braids, or Plaits, have been a part of hairstyling since the beginning of recorded time. They were used during each period of hairstyling history in unique and innovative ways to create or accent styles.

This 5-Strand Braided Circlet Bun is based on examples from the late Regency period (c1820-1830). This style of braided bun is also appropriate for hairstyles of the Bustle Era (c1870-1880), as well as evening styles of the 1960s & 1970s. This braided hairpiece can be used with your own hair or added to a wig.

Each braided circlet bun is handcrafted from synthetic hair in the color of your choice. The ends are re-enforced with netting and the piece is finished with a hair net for stability and a longer-lasting finish. The bun is designed to be secured to the head/wig with hair pins or bobby pins (not included) and can be shaped into a circle or oval as desired.

The bun is approximately 2.25” wide and 15.5-16” in circumference (7-8” in diameter). Dimensions may vary as this is a handcrafted item.
