Frizzed or tightly curled hair was very popular look in the late 18th century, in addition to being a practical way for hair dressers of the time to prep and volumize hair for the elaborate styles of the 1770s-1790s.

This set of two hair pieces create a large and very voluminous “hedgehog” hairstyle, appropriate for the 1780s and very early 1790s. The set includes a hair piece topper designed to cover the hairline to the back of the crown and a separate ringlet hair piece. The ringlets can be worn alone or as an addition to a long ponytail of your own hair hanging down in back. The topper piece includes a series of internal cushions to preserve the shape under a variety of hats.

Each hairpiece is styled and finished by hand and is made from synthetic hair wefts in the color of your choice for ease of use and long lasting styling.
